This past Tuesday, Algeria informed the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that it would not grant the request of the Moroccan government to authorize a direct flight for the Moroccan national team to Constantine in order to participate in the CHAN 2023, which would be held in Algeria.
Recall that the FRMF's Executive Committee unanimously decided to withdraw from the 2023 edition of the CHAN, which is scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 4 in Algérie, if the national team's transportation is not guaranteed via a special flight by Royal Air Maroc (RAM), the official carrier of national teams, from Rabat to Constantine, the location of the tournament's matches.
